We need to collectively support each other

*I want to start by saying this is just one perspective from a woman who is a parent and a therapist. I will not pretend to be a lawyer or understand the complexities of the current media attention on Lindsey’s case. My heart physically aches every time I see an update, read a post.

How do we touch a system so large and it misses our needs?

There are plenty of specific posts about the current Lindsey trial. I will not add shame or stimga to this women, the three little humans who are no longer here, or to her ex-spouse. I write this post in true authentic space that I’m having a reaction to a broader topic that is also being mirrored in the media - “who is supposed to help?”

I am not here to say I have an answer. I don’t. I feel helpless as I contemplate my role as a mother, a friend, a therapist, and trying to understand how I, or any of us, can help advocate for change and support.
